Yvette
was born on April 6th in Junction City, Kansas. She has one older sister and two
older living brothers. Her youngest brother passed away in 1996. Yvette was
raised in Denver, Colorado by her mother and grandmother. Her father and mother
divorced when she was a child. Yvette's mother worked for the State of Colorado
as a Program Director and was a licensed Psychiatric nurse.
Yvette was not one to play with dolls. She always wanted to play with her
younger brother and his friends. Instead of wanting girly toys, she wanted
trucks and robots; an all around tomboy. Growing up her hobbies included
drawing, dancing, roller-skating, tennis, gymnastics, track and field, and
reading.
She
is an animal lover and grew up with various kinds of dogs, rabbits, birds
and whatever else her younger brother brought home. She loves dancing and
always wanted to be a dancer on the TV dance show Soul Train. She grew up
listening to old school R&B but also loves Jazz, Hip Hop and Reggae.
Yvette enjoys different kinds of ethnic foods, meeting people and learning
about their different cultures.
Yvette
recognized her talent for art and drawing in the early years... when she
was in the 4th grade she began drawing cartoon characters like Peanuts and
also drawing kids in her classroom. Yvette started drawing and sewing
clothes for her family members and after graduating High School she
attended the Colorado Institute of Art for Fashion Illustration.
Before Yvette took an interest in weight training over 15 years ago, she
weighed 100 lbs. soaking wet. She always wanted to be a fashion designer
and model and was very conscious about her weight. After seeing Carla
Dunlap and Cory Everson on stage in a magazine, Yvette set her sites on
wanting to attain a sexy, muscular physique - so off to the gym she went
and after lifting her first dumbbell, she was hooked on the sport of
bodybuilding!
Yvette served in the US Air Force for 13 1/2 years and has competed and
won several military and local bodybuilding shows. She has been stationed
in California, Korea, Guam, Okinawa, Japan and Hawaii. While in the
service she received an Associates Degree in Logistics Management from the
University of Maryland.
Yvette's first bodybuilding show was held in Seoul, Korea where she was
stationed and she went in as a lightweight weighing in at 110 lbs and won
the lightweight and overall title. The hardest task for Yvette since
aspiring to become a female bodybuilder was having to eat more
food. A task that she soon leaned to defeat! Next she was Ms.
Far East for two years in a row, also taking the Best Poser award both
times in Okinawa, Japan. She took second in the Women's Lightweight
Division at Guam's National Bodybuilding Championship; 1st place winner in
the Women's Lightweight Division and 2nd place in the Mixed Pairs Division
in the 1997 Marjo Selin's Muscle Classic in Maui, Hawaii. 1997 Hawaii
Armed Forces Lightweight Division and Overall Winner also Best Poser on
Oahu, Hawaii. 1999 Designer Body Muscle & Physique State Championship;
Women's Open Bodybuilding Division, Overall Winner; 3rd place in the
Women's Middle Weight at the 1999 Paradise Cup on Oahu, Hawaii. Most
recently guest posed at the 2000 Hawaii Armed Forces Bodybuilding
Championship and she received a special invite to be the guest poser at
the 2000 Hawaii Armed Forces Bodybuilding Championships.

videos and is on her way to becoming one of the world's legendary muscle
divas.
Her "turn
on's" are: sexy clothes, high heels, lingerie, sex toys,
candles, chardonnay, ambition. Her "turn off's" are bad
hygiene, smoking, lying, jealousy, conceit, arrogance.
